About Us

Our Focus

For now, AksesTest focuses on two core features that promote inclusive education:

Homework for Students with Disabilities

Teachers can upload homework to the platform, where students can:

  • Read and complete assignments using JAWS or Easy-Read mode

  • Watch sign-language instructions with captions

  • Submit answers directly online

  • Receive personalized feedback from teachers

Accessible Online Exams

Schools and institutions can conduct fully accessible online tests:

  • Blind Mode: optimized for JAWS and keyboard navigation

  • Deaf Mode: includes sign-language videos with captions

  • Easy-Read Mode: simplified layouts and icons for autistic or intellectually disabled students

  • Extra Time & Adaptive Layouts: automatically applied for each student

How We Help

With AksesTest, it’s not the candidate who adapts to the system, but the system that adapts to the candidate’s needs.
AksesTest creates a significant impact in inclusive education:

Blind students can access and read every question independently through the JAWS screen reader and other compatible assistive technologies.

Deaf and hard-of-hearing students receive full support with sign language videos, synchronized captions, and visual indicators for key information.

Students with autism or intellectual disabilities benefit from an Easy-Read mode, clear iconography, and simplified content designed for better comprehension and focus.

Teachers and institutions can create secure, accessible, and personalized assessments using an accessibility scanner that checks for proper headings, alt-text, captions, and Easy-Read content.

Our Process

How AksesTest Works

At AksesTest, we make homework and exams fully accessible for every student — especially those who are blind, deaf, or have autism or intellectual disabilities.
Our process ensures that every step, from creation to submission, is inclusive and barrier-free.

Step 1: Create & Validate

Teachers or administrators create homework assignments or exam questions directly on the platform.
Each task is automatically validated for accessibility through our built-in Accessibility Scanner, which checks for:

  • Proper headings and labels for screen readers

  • Alt-text for images and diagrams

  • Captions or sign-language video support

  • Easy-Read text and icon-based instructions

Before publishing, every activity is guaranteed to meet accessibility standards.

Step 2: Publish & Assign

Once validated, the homework or exam is assigned to student profiles.
Each profile automatically activates the right accessibility settings, such as:

  • Blind Mode: JAWS-compatible layout and keyboard-only navigation

  • Deaf Mode: Sign-language videos with captions and transcripts

  • Easy-Read Mode: Simplified question order, icons, and short instructions

  • Custom Accommodations: Extra time, reduced visual complexity, or audio mode

Students are notified and can access their homework or exams securely online.

Step 3: Complete & Submit

Students complete their homework or exams directly within AksesTest, using the accessibility mode that fits their needs.

  • Blind students navigate with JAWS and keyboard-only controls, with all text read aloud.

  • Deaf students view questions alongside sign-language videos or captions.

  • Students with autism or intellectual disabilities use Easy-Read layouts with icons, short sentences, and one question per screen.

Each response is autosaved and securely submitted once finished, ensuring a smooth, independent, and inclusive testing experience for every learner.

Step 4: Review & Report

Teachers review completed assignments through the admin dashboard, where they can:

  • View responses by accessibility mode

  • Track submission times and progress

  • Provide individual feedback

  • Export results in PDF or Excel

This allows schools and teachers to evaluate learning outcomes while maintaining full accessibility compliance.

Step 5: Continuous Improvement

AksesTest is built for ongoing progress:

  • Feedback loops for teachers and students
  • Regular updates aligned with WCAG and EN 301 549 standards
  • Pilot testing of new accommodations before official rollout

We don’t just test knowledge—we empower inclusion and innovation.
